The "Cabaret" Groups who used Session Musicians Freddie & The Dreamers (they may have played on their first couple of hits) Dave Dee Merseybeats Hermans & The Hermits (Mickey Most used Session Musicians) Love Affair (famously used Session Musicians although they were competent musicians) Dave Clark Five (certainly drummer Bobby Graham was used extensively) Marmalade The Fortunes Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders Brian Poole & The Tremeloes (Brian Poole denies Session Musician involvement) The "Cabaret" Groups who didn't use Session Musicians Hollies (unless somebody knows otherwise) The Searchers (although BJS was on a couple of albums) The Beat Groups who used Session Musicians Them (while Drummer Bobby Graham's involvement is not doubted there is a mystery about contributions made by other Session Musicians) Chris Farlowe & The Thunderbirds The Beat Groups who didn't use Session Musicians Manfred Mann (although they used BJS on later recordings) Small Faces (although BJS played on a small number of records) Spencer Davis Group Moody Blues |
